Liza Zimmerman“…In between inventing new adjectives Argento’s winemaker has also produced a nice lineup of tasty and well-priced wines. The 2010 Torrontés from Salta (in the north of the country) was citric delicious and well balanced. It is by far one of the most interesting grapes coming out of Argentina. It’s indigenous and I have yet to hear about anyone else producing it anywhere else. It was also an affordable $12.99. The 2009 Malbec was also bright and spicy. It pairs beautifully with meat and comes in at the same price. Let’s go Argentina. (even though they lost the World Cup). The values and the flavor continue to surprise…”
